The herbs first come to Ricola Herb Center, where all the processing steps take place under one roof: quarantine checks to ensure the highest quality possible, further examination for freshness, aroma, purity, color, and condition. Only the best is good enough. Once inspected, the herbs are carefully dried, cleaned, cut, and blended according to our iconic herbs recipes. Finally, they are stored in a way that preserves their natural properties.

Mighty efficient

The production process of the drops begins with the extraction of essential flavors and active ingredients from herbal blends. Depending on the variety, these concentrates are enriched with additional components such as plant extracts, sugar or sugar substitutes. To reduce energy and water consumption and minimize waste, we use advanced equipment and resource-efficient processes. For example, about half of the Herb Center's electricity is generated by a photovoltaic system on the roof.
