An easy way to relax
Natural herbs not only smell good, they also do good. Here are some instructions for enjoying a relaxing steam bath with herbs at home. Preparation is easy. Have a good time off!
All you need for a steam bath:
A handful of dried herbs, e.g. sage, elderflower, chamomile, thyme
A few drops of essential oils (optional), e.g. thyme
1 l boiling water
A large bowl
A towel
Only 5 minutes to prepare
Mix the dried herbs in a large bowl and add 3–5 drops of essential oils if desired.
Pour boiling water over the mixture and place the bowl on a table.
Place the towel over your head and enjoy the soothing herbal steam for 5–10 minutes.
Benefits of steam bath
Herbal steams can be used to deliver the properties of herbs and essential oils directly to the respiratory tract. The steams hydrate and warm up the nose and throat. The process is both relaxing in the cold weather and also good for your skin.
